Tom stood in front of an audience compering the open day. He was talking about the benefits of cell grown peat free trees, and the day was about integrated pest management (IPM)

I spent many years in the south of England working on farms, nurseries and private gardens. I then went on to study at Royal Botanic Gardens Kew before setting up a garden design practice. Now based in Suffolk, I'm doing my best to restore some of my own natural wetland.

Through my line of work, I'm starting to feel the pressures of climate change and changes to the law around importing trees, so it's great to be able to help the situation with our own UK nursery.

There are a lot of great trees, but I'll pick Common Myrtle as it reminds me of sunny Mediterranean holidays with my family.
